GalleryWing is a hosted website and dashboard service for independent artists: a public artist website, a catalog and inventory manager, order and finance tracking, and connections to outside marketplaces (currently eBay, with more planned). These terms apply to your use of the GalleryWing dashboard, your GalleryWing-hosted website, and the GalleryWing waitlist and early access program.
GalleryWing is currently in early access. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot or a specific start date — we're onboarding a limited number of artists at a time. While in early access, the service may change, have bugs, or have missing features described elsewhere on the site as "coming soon."
GalleryWing has a free plan, the Foyer, and paid plans called Wing plans (Small, Medium and Large Wing, and Exhibition Hall) that differ by the number of active listings. The Foyer includes your dashboard, a catalog of up to 15 works, awards, a one-page public card, a spreadsheet export of your catalog, and finance records that you enter by hand. Everything else, including your full website, shop, orders, Agenda & Events, Rolodex, Stats and marketplace connections, comes with a paid Wing plan, and some of those pages are view-only on the Foyer. If you have more than 15 works when you move to the Foyer, the extra works are hidden, not deleted, and come back when you upgrade. Features and limits may change as we grow. Early access members who join during this period lock in the early adopter discount (currently 50% off the standard monthly rate) for as long as their account stays continuously active. If you cancel your subscription and later rejoin, you'll sign up at whatever the then-current rate is — your original locked-in rate is not held for you after cancellation.
Your locked-in rate includes every future feature we build for the core dashboard and website product, for as long as you remain subscribed, at no extra charge. It does not include:
We'll always describe a new paid add-on as optional and priced separately before you're charged for it — your subscription price itself is what's locked in.
Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but is not charged during the trial; the date billing starts is shown on the signup page. You can cancel at any time before that date and you won't be charged. After that, paid plans are billed monthly until you cancel. The free plan needs no card, and also starts with 7 days of every feature.
You can cancel whenever you like. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
When a paid plan ends. When you cancel, you choose what happens next: switch to the free Foyer plan; keep your data for 3 months with your studio read-only (your public website is closed to visitors during that time) and reinstate it at any time by choosing a plan; or have your data deleted. If you keep your data and don't reinstate within the 3 months, it is removed and cannot be recovered. While your studio is read-only, you can download your data as a ZIP of spreadsheets from your plan page.
When a buyer pays on your GalleryWing website, the payment is processed by Stripe and goes to your own Stripe account (or to the payment processor you've connected, where that option is available). GalleryWing does not take a commission on your sales.
On your website's checkout, buyers can pay for shipping at carrier rates. You can then buy and print the shipping label for the order from the Orders page. Here is how the money works:
You decide your own return and refund policy with your buyers. To refund a website sale in full, use "Cancel & refund" on the Orders page. It refunds the buyer on your payment account, cancels the sale, puts the piece back on sale, and handles any unused shipping label as described above. Partial refunds are made in your payment processor's dashboard and are noted on the order.
Payment processors, including Stripe, generally do not return their own processing fee when a payment is refunded. That fee is a cost to you. Your GalleryWing subscription is not refunded when you refund a sale.
You choose your shop's currency when you set up your store, based on your country by default. If you use your own payment processor, choose the currency you are paid in, so you avoid currency-conversion fees. Prices, shipping and finance totals in your dashboard use that currency.
Every account includes a free website at a yourname.gallerywing.com address. If you already own a domain name elsewhere, you can point it at your GalleryWing site yourself (or with our help). We may also offer to register and manage a new domain on your behalf directly through GalleryWing in the future; that service, and any registration or renewal cost associated with it, is separate from your subscription.
You own the images, descriptions, and other content you upload to your catalog and website. We store and display it in order to run your website and dashboard, and to sync it to marketplaces you've connected (like eBay), but we don't claim ownership of it, and we don't use it for anything beyond operating the service for you, unless you separately agree to something else (for example, being featured on a future public artist directory).
When you connect a marketplace account (such as eBay, or Etsy once that connection is available), you're also subject to that marketplace's own terms and policies. GalleryWing is not responsible for changes those platforms make to their own APIs, fees, or policies, though we'll do our best to keep the connection working and let you know if something breaks on their end.
You agree to use GalleryWing to sell and showcase your own legitimate work, and not to use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's rights.
We aim to keep GalleryWing reliably available, but especially during early access we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We'll do our best to give notice before planned maintenance that would affect your site.
GalleryWing is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here is meant to limit liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
We may update these terms as the service grows — particularly once paid billing and marketplace features described above go live. We'll post the updated date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll try to notify active members directly by email.
